Mission and Vision
The Center for Mobility Equity has served Maryland for 30 years through the core belief that access to your community is a basic human right. Our mission is to enable all people, without regard to age, disability, or economic status, to fully and independently access their lives and communities through training, education, outreach and advocacy.
We believe that all people have a right to equitable access to transportation; and that access to safe, reliable, and affordable transportation options is one of the most critical components to leading a healthy, independent, and fully connected life.
The Center for Mobility Equity works to connect individuals with employment, education, healthcare, and social services, as well as access to healthy foods, recreational activities, etc., by providing individual and group training, as well as online and over-the-phone information and support, in utilizing public transportation safely and independently.
